Terry D. Williams peacefully passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center at the age of 52. Terry was the husband of Albertha “Pee Wee” Williams, married in 2013 in Gainesville, and the son of Betty Ann Williams-Calhoun of Gainesville, and the late Franklin Jeff Williams.

Visitation for Mr. Williams is June 6 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at A. Jerome Brown Funeral Home, 1560 NW 1st Ave., High Springs. The funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on June 7 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Pastor Byran Williams, 1230 NW 1st Ave., High Springs.

Donald Richard Clemons, age 67, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014, at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. He is survived by his wife Martha Idalee Clemons of Alachua, his son, Jason Clemons, of Orlando, and his daughter, Ronda (Billy) Mitchell of Alachua; two grandchildren, Nathan Mitchell and Jacob Mitchell of Alachua; his sister Fran Gonzales of Alachua; his brothers, Chuck (Jane) Clemons and Al (Joyce) Clemons, both of Gainesville, and Art (Linda) Clemons of Middleburg.

Mr. Clemons was retired from Gainesville Fire & Rescue where he served as the District Chief. He was a member of the Gainesville Fire and Rescue Local Union #2157, and a member of North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Alachua, Fla. He served his country in U.S. Air Force.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Evans Carter Funeral Home, High Springs, Fla. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 25330 NW County Rd 239, Alachua, Fla. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 2121 SW 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608 and Gainesville Fire & Rescue Benevolent Fund, 1220 NE 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601.

W. H. Ergle, Jr. of High Springs passed away at Shands Hospital on May 24, 2014.

Mr. Ergle was born in Island Grove, Fla., on Dec. 23, 1924. He was preceded in death by his first wife Florence Sprow Ergle; his parents Willie Henry Ergle, Sr. and Missouri Ergle; two sisters Margaret Ergle and Christine Bussey; and one brother Tommy Ergle.

Survivors include his second wife Eva Pressley Ergle; daughter Sharon (John) Hammock; two grandsons Ryan Hammock and Michael (Crystal) Hammock; stepchildren Glenn (June) Pressley, Sharon Dale (Terry) Malphers, and Don (Sharon) Pressley; three sisters Effie Cain, Marie Crosby and Diane (Paul) Hadsock; four brothers Norman Ergle, Allen (Kathy) Ergle, Louis (Jean) Ergle and Frankie (Pat) Ergle; six step-grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Forest Grove Baptist Church, 22575 NW 94th Ave., Alachua, Fla., with Reverend Warren Chesser and Pastor Rick Ergle officiating.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606, Forest Grove Baptist Church, or your favorite charity.

Barbara Kate Addison, 82, died May 22, 2014 in Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga. Mrs. Addison was born Oct. 29, 1931, to Martin Z. Thomas and Mary Lavonia Thomas of High Springs, Fla. She graduated from High Springs High School and Florida State University then taught elementary school her entire career.

In retirement, Barbara enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by singing in the Smyrna First Baptist Church choir. Mrs. Addison was preceded in death by her son, Bennie Addison, and her husband, Wilburn B. Addison, Jr., a veteran of the Korean War.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Howington of Jacksonville, Fla., and three siblings; daughter Katrina Barnes, son and daughter-in-law Barry and Sheryl Addison and grandson Tylor Elliott of Marietta, Ga., , son and daughter-in-law Martin and Johnna Addison and grandchildren Tyler Addison, Sara Addison, and Ben Addison of Smyrna, Ga.

Lyndon Charles “Nick” Strawder, age 55 of Macclenny, passed on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born and raised in High Springs, Fla. He was a longtime employee with Potash Corporation, formerly known as Occidental, and a graduate of Santa Fe High School Class of 1976.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Sundena Johnson Strawder and siblings Roniese Marshall Covert, Ann Strawder Albritton, Lanorris Martin Ford, Shannon Martin, Cathy Anderson- Roby, Kenneth Martin and Oliver Anderson, and other relatives and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Strawder will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Church of God By Faith, 1605 NW 1st Ave., High Springs, FL 32643. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the same location as the viewing. Elder James Williams, Pastor Byran Williams officiating.
