GAINESVILLE – A 108-acre tract of agricultural land in Alachua has been sold, with the new owner planning to keep the property in active farm use and preserve its rural character.
The property, located in the 19450 block of Northwest 94th Avenue and identified as part of tax parcel 03990-001-000, changed ownership in a transaction that closed May 21, 2026.
According to information released by Lee & Associates Gainesville LLC, the buyer was Nole Farms LLC. The purchase involves approximately 108 acres of land in an area known for its agricultural activity and open rural landscape.
Dan Drotos, CCIM, SIOR, and Rory Causseaux, P.E., principals with Lee & Associates Gainesville, represented the seller in the transaction. Scott Arvin of Matchmaker Realty represented the buyer.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Representatives involved in the transaction said the property’s future use played a significant role in the sale. Nole Farms intends to maintain the land’s agricultural function while preserving its rural setting.
The continued use of the acreage for farming aligns with broader efforts to retain agricultural land in western Alachua County, where population growth and development pressures have increased interest in large tracts of undeveloped property.
“We appreciate the opportunity to represent the seller in this transaction and are pleased to see the property transition to a buyer who will preserve its natural beauty,” Drotos said.
The buyer indicated plans to continue using the land as productive agricultural property, supporting what company representatives described as the region’s farming heritage and long-term land stewardship.
Large agricultural parcels remain an important component of the local economy, contributing to farming operations while helping maintain the rural character that has long defined portions of western Alachua County.
