Lois F. Bodiford, 98, passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bodiford was born in Moultrie, Ga. on July 19, 1913, to George and Maude Freeman. She was the fourth in a family of 12 and is survived by one sister, Maude Truluck; one brother, C.B. Freeman, both of Alachua; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, L.B. (Monk) Bodiford, and lived independently for 41 years before moving to Plantation Oaks Assisted Living in March 2011. She was the oldest living member of First Baptist Church of High Springs, Fla.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Hospice of Nature Coast, Plantation Oaks and North Florida Regional Medical Center for the loving care given to “Aunt Lois” the last year of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of the Nature Coast in her memory.

Services will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of High Springs with Steve Truluck officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in High Springs Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Evans-Carter Funeral Home in High Springs, Fla.
