Willie Brown, 77, was born February 14, 1934 to the late Clara Brown and Fred Marfus.

He confessed Christ at an early age and he loved to go to church.

He was educated in the public schools in High Springs, Fla.

For many years he was employed with Bill Terry’s Buick Car Dealership, Jacksonville, Fla.

He departed this life on October 20, 2011 at Shands Lake Shore Hospital.  He was called home before his brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Janie Brown, were able to make it to say their goodbyes.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Claretha Brown.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Janie Brown of Branford, Fla.; brothers, Elmer (Velorie) Brown of Perrine, Fla., and Steve (Priscilla) Brown of St. Augustine, Fla.; a special niece and nephew, Elvis and Phyllis Conley of Fort White, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special friend, Sara Allen (Bug) of Jacksonville, Fla.

Funeral services for Mr. Brown will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, O’Brien, Fla., Bishop James Wiggins, Pastor, Rev. Henry Smart, Eulogist.  Burial will follow in United Oaks Cemetery, Branford, Fla.

Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2011 from 6-7 p.m. at funeral home.
