This is to give notice that the Town of Micanopy has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG funds) #20DB-OO-03-11-02-N10 by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). The funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will be used in Service Area #1 to replace existing well #2 with a new supply well within the current well field located at 501 NW Seminary Avenue, Micanopy, Florida. Also, if funding is available, the funding will be used in Unmet Need #1 Service Area #1 to install a water tank mixer to circulate and blend the finished water in the existing elevated storage tank located at 501 NW Seminary Avenue, Micanopy, Florida. Additionally, if funding is available, in Unmet Need #2 Service Area #1 the funding will be used to replace all of the existing residential potable water meters in the service area with new radio read water meters, meter boxes, curb stops and backflow preventers. This also includes an automatic meter reader data collector, software and hardware required to read the water meters and develop the water bills for disbursement.

This notice is required by Section 2(a)(4) of Executive Order 11988 for Floodplain Management, and by Section 2(b) of Executive Order 11990 for the Protection of Wetlands, and is implemented by HUD Regulations found at 24 CFR 55.20(b) for the HUD action that is within and/or affects a floodplain and/or wetland.

Construction may be undertaken in the 100 year floodplain and/or wetlands. The Town of Micanopy is interested in alternatives and public perceptions of possible adverse impacts that could result from the project as well as potential mitigation measures. Some of the activities being carried out in the Service Areas may be located within the floodplain and/or wetland area.

This is to give notice that the Town of Micanopy has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG funds) #20DB-OO-03-11-02-N10 by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO). The funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will be used in Service Area #1 to replace existing well #2 with a new supply well within the current well field located at 501 NW Seminary Avenue, Micanopy, Florida. Also, if funding is available, the funding will be used in Unmet Need #1 Service Area #1 to install a water tank mixer to circulate and blend the finished water in the existing elevated storage tank located at 501 NW Seminary Avenue, Micanopy, Florida. Additionally, if funding is available, in Unmet Need #2 Service Area #1 the funding will be used to replace all of the existing residential potable water meters in the service area with new radio read water meters, meter boxes, curb stops and backflow preventers. This also includes an automatic meter reader data collector, software and hardware required to read the water meters and develop the water bills for disbursement.

This notice is required by Section 2(a)(4) of Executive Order 11988 for Floodplain Management, and by Section 2(b) of Executive Order 11990 for the Protection of Wetlands, and is implemented by HUD Regulations found at 24 CFR 55.20(b) for the HUD action that is within and/or affects a floodplain and/or wetland.

Construction may be undertaken in the 100 year floodplain and/or wetlands. The Town of Micanopy is interested in alternatives and public perceptions of possible adverse impacts that could result from the project as well as potential mitigation measures. Some of the activities being carried out in the Service Areas may be located within the floodplain and/or wetland area.
