Town of LaCrosse, Florida Second Public Hearing Notice
The Town of LaCrosse plans to apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a FFY 2021-2022 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $600,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization category. The grant project activities, estimated dollar amounts, and estimated percentage benefit to low-to-moderate income (LMI) persons are as follows: Architect Fees: $42,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Construction of a Fire Station: $510,000 in CDBG funds (over 51% LMI benefit); Grant Administration: $48,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Total CDBG funds: $600,000. CDBG grant funds will be used to demolish the existing volunteer fire station which is located at 20421 N. State Road 121, LaCrosse, FL 32658. The project description will involve input from the public and local fire department officials. The new fire station will comply with Alachua County codes as prescribed. The Town of LaCrosse does not expect any loss of services during the construction period. They are planning to have a temporary shed on-site to house the fire equipment that is required for fire runs. A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be held at Town of LaCrosse, 20613 N. State Road 121, LaCrosse, FL 32658 on June 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. A draft copy of the application will also be available for review during normal business hours in the Clerk’s Office at the Town of LaCrosse by noon on June 2, 2022. Town of LaCrosse, Florida Second Public Hearing Notice
The Town of LaCrosse plans to apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a FFY 2022-2023 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $600,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization category. The grant project activities, estimated dollar amounts, and estimated percentage benefit to low-to-moderate income (LMI) persons are as follows: Architect Fees: $42,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Construction of a Fire Station: $510,000 in CDBG funds (over 51% LMI benefit); Grant Administration: $48,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Total CDBG funds: $600,000. CDBG grant funds will be used to demolish the existing volunteer fire station which is located at 20421 N. State Road 121, LaCrosse, FL 32658. The project description will involve input from the public and local fire department officials. The new fire station will comply with Alachua County codes as prescribed. The Town of LaCrosse does not expect any loss of services during the construction period. They are planning to have a temporary shed on-site to house the fire equipment that is required for fire runs. A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be held at Town of LaCrosse, 20613 N. State Road 121, LaCrosse, FL 32658 on June 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. A draft copy of the application will also be available for review during normal business hours in the Clerk’s Office at the Town of LaCrosse by noon on June 2, 2022. Town of LaCrosse, Florida Second Public Hearing Notice The Town of LaCrosse plans to apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a FFY 2021-2022 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $600,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization category. Town of LaCrosse, Florida Second Public Hearing Notice The Town of LaCrosse plans to apply to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a FFY 2022-2023 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of $600,000 in the Neighborhood Revitalization category. The grant project activities, estimated dollar amounts, and estimated percentage benefit to low-to-moderate income (LMI) persons are as follows: Architect Fees: $42,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Construction of a Fire Station: $510,000 in CDBG funds (over 51% LMI benefit); Grant Administration: $48,000 in CDBG funds (LMI benefit is not applicable); Total CDBG funds: $600,000. CDBG grant funds will be used to demolish the existing volunteer fire station which is located at 20421 N. State Road 121, LaCrosse, FL 32658. The project description will involve input from the public and local fire department officials. The new fire station will comply with Alachua County codes as prescribed. The Town of LaCrosse does not expect any loss of services during the construction period. They are planning to have a temporary shed on-site to house the fire equipment that is required for fire runs.
