YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Alachua City Commission is accepting applications for four (4) vacancies on its Youth Advisory Council. Appointments will be for two-year terms. Interested applicants must be enrolled in a public school, private school, or home education program within the City of Alachua in grades nine through twelve. Applicants must also be willing to attend meetings on at least a bi-monthly basis and have a keen interest in youth.
The duties of the YAC include recommending to the City Commission policies, procedures, and philosophies on issues and initiatives to positively impact the lives of youth. YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL
Vacancy
The Alachua City Commission is accepting applications for four (4) vacancies on its Youth Advisory Council. Appointments will be for two-year terms. Interested applicants must be enrolled in a public school, private school, or home education program within the City of Alachua in grades nine through twelve. Applicants must also be willing to attend meetings on at least a bi-monthly basis and have a keen interest in youth.
The duties of the YAC include recommending to the City Commission policies, procedures, and philosophies on issues and initiatives to positively impact the lives of youth. Additionally, the YAC will facilitate community meetings with youth to discuss issues and suggestions for improvement, assist in planning and implementing various events to benefit youth in the community and promote and recognize the abilities, accomplishments, and contributions of youth.
