NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING A VARIANCE PETITION AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE CITY OF HAWTHORNE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONSBY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE CITY OF HAWTHORNE, FLORIDA, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, pursuant to the City of Hawthorne Land Development Regulations, as amended, hereinafter referred to as the Land Development Regulations, objections, recommendations and comments concerning a variance petition, as described below, will be heard by the Board of Adjustment of the City of Hawthorne, Florida, at a public hearing on October 1, 2024, at 6:30pm , or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the City Commission Meeting Room, City Hall, located at 6875 SE 221st Street, Hawthorne, FL 32640
V 24-21, a petition by Jay and Randi Garlitz to request a variance to reduce the side setback from 25 feet to front yard setback from 25 feet to 17 feet and the rear yard setback from 15 feet to 7.5 feet within a Residential Single Family-2 (RSF-2) district, to allow the location of an accessory structure. The property is identified as Parcel 19577-010-012 which is located in the Reservation Subdivision at 22829 SE 63rd Place, Hawthorne, Fl 32640.
The public hearing may be continued to one or more future dates. Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time, and place of any continuation of the public hearing shall be announced during the public hearing and that no further notice concerning the matter will be published, At the public hearing all interested parties may appear to be heard with respect to the proposed variance.
A Copy of the variance petition is available for public inspection at the City of Hawthorne City Manager’s Office, located in the City Hall at 6875 SE 221st Street, Hawthorne, FL 32640, during regular business hours.
All persons are advised that if they decide to appeal any decision made at the above referenced public hearing, they will need a record of the proceeding, and that, for such purpose, they may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
