GOVERNMENTAL ACCOUNTANT- FULL-TIME – This is a responsible, technical and professional position with responsibilities relating to the overall administration of the financial accounting and reporting functions of the City. This position works closely with and reports to the Finance Director under general supervision and does not include any supervisory duties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and two years of work experience, preferably in the governmental area. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. This position does not require a CPA or CGFO certification, but either is a plus.

Notice is hereby given that the City Commission of the City of Alachua will hold a public hearing on June 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The hearing will be held in the James A.
