Edward D. (Buddy) Floyd, 85, longtime Alachua resident and business owner, passed away Sunday at his residence. He was a member of Legacy Baptist, Alachua.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Flo Floyd; one son, Donald (Debbie) Floyd of Lake Butler; three daughters, Vivian (Ken) Womble of MaxMeadows, Va., Charlotte (Chuck) Simmons of Alachua, Dorothy Floyd of Gainesville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Legacy Baptist Church, Alachua. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be at Antioch Cemetery, LaCrosse under the direction of Evans-Carter Funeral Home of High Springs.
