C. Elizabeth Davis

C. Elizabeth Davis, 83, of High Springs passed in her home on Saturday, November 10, 2012. She was born in High Springs to the late Watt and Ellen Wimberly.  She was the mother of six children.  Her oldest son, Lenard Davis preceded her in death. Ms. Davis was a long time member of Allen Chapel AME Church of High Springs, and a retired Food Service Manager, School Board of Alachua County.

She is survived by children; Gloria James, High Springs; Brenda Clemons, Gainesville; Wilhelmenia Long, Wesley Chapel, Fla; Theodore S. Davis, High Springs and Ronald K. Davis, Alachua; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren who will miss her presence.

Viewing will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 6 – 8p.m. at Allen Chapel A.M.E., 10 SE MLK Blvd., High Springs.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Female Protective Society 12610 NW 39th Avenue, Gainesville.  Internment at Pine Hill Cemetery in High Springs and repast at Allen Chapel AME Church Fellowship Hall.
