Louia Clifton (L.C.) Thomas

Louia Clifton (L.C.) Thomas, 77, of High Springs, Fla., passed away Jan. 21, 2013 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center of Gainesville, Fla.

Mr. Thomas was born in High Springs, Fla., to Clifton Thomas and Estelle Parrish Thomas. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Merchant Seaman.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Don Thomas; sisters, Lonnie Crews, Gladys Thomas and Berta Moore. He is survived by two brothers, Glenn R. “Turk” (JoAnn) Thomas of High Springs, W.E. “Karo” (Carolyn)  Thomas of High Springs; three sisters, Belinda Hollingsworth of High Springs, Barbara Ann Bryan of Alachua, Fla., Kate Davis of Warner Robins, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, 6-8 p.m. at Evans-Carter Funeral Home .Graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, 11 a.m. at the High Springs Cemetery, 400 NW 8^th Avenue, High Springs, with Rev. Morris C. Beck and Rev. Jacob Hollingsworth officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90 Blvd, Gainesville, FL 32606.
