Gary Russell Lindsey, 57, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Russell was born in Ocala, Fla., and moved to Alachua in 1989. He was a graduate of Vanguard High School. He was a welder and fabricator. He enjoyed time on their farm and ranch, “The Rocking Horse Farm.”
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Lee McMillan Lindsey of Alachua; his parents, Herman Leverette and Ella Mae Kelley Lindsey of Ocala, Fla., brothers Dennis Lindsey and Todd Lindsey (Patty) of Ocala; sister Sandra Vaughn of Jacksonville, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony was held at their farm on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Arrangements are under the care of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services, 311 South Main Street, Gainesville, FL 32601.
