James “Jim” L. Willis

Mr. James “Jim” L. Willis, 77, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016.

Mr. Willis was born in Petersburg, Indiana, but had lived for several years in Gainesville, Florida, after moving there from Jacksonville, Florida.

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and Army, and was a truck driver for several years. Mr. Willis was a member of the Lenox Avenue Church of God in Jacksonville, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ellamae Willis; his brothers Bob Willis and Jack Willis both of Petersburg; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Willis at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Elzey Chapel Cemetery in Worthington Springs, Florida.
