PUBLIC NOTICE
Neighborhood Meeting –
Alachua Solar I Project

Alachua Solar I, LLC invites the public to attend a Neighborhood Meeting to discuss the proposed Alachua Solar I project, a planned 7.0 MW DC / 5.0 MW AC ground-mounted solar energy facility to be located on approximately 38 acres located at the City of Alachua Wastewater Treatment Plant property.
The purpose of the Neighborhood Meeting is to provide nearby property owners and interested members of the public an opportunity to:
- Learn more about the proposed solar project;
- Ask questions directly to the project representatives;
- Provide early input and feedback on the development.
Meeting Details:
- Date: Thursday, September 18th, 2025
- Time: 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
- Location: 13302 Progress Blvd.
Alachua, FL 32615 (Project Site)
This meeting is intended to encourage open communication between the project stakeholders, nearby property owners, and the community. The Neighborhood Meeting provides an important opportunity for early public involvement and discussion.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED TAX INCREASE
The City of Hawthorne has tentatively adopted a measure to increase its property tax levy.

Last year’s property tax levy:

Initially proposed tax levy $501,353
Less tax reductions due to Value Adjustment Board and other assessment changes $ 4,116
Actual property tax levy $497,237
This year’s proposed tax levy $542,549
All concerned citizens are invited to attend a public hearing on the tax increase to be held on:
