Shirley Ann Goode, 66, a longtime resident of Alachua, Fla., passed away June 14, 2013 at her home. She was born in Bamberg, S.C. to Johnson and Reba Smoak.
Survivors include husband, Luther Goode of Alachua; son, Monroe Goode of Alachua; daughter, Linda Smith of Alachua; brothers, Irelon “Bo” Smoak of St. George, S.C.; J.W. Smoak of Augusta, Ga.; sisters Bonnie Lee Russel of Bamberg, S.C., Gloria Walling of Barnwell, S.C.; and Atha Marie Andrews of Ocala; grandchildren, Shirley Gail Coffman, Vicktoria Kay Griffis, Ashley Aleanne Goode and Ciara Morrisa Goode; great grandchildren Jacob Templeton, Alyssa Box, Kayla Honeycutt, Brandon Honeycutt and Katlanna Honeycutt. She was predeceased by brother Monroe Smoak and sisters Dorothy Chitty and Betty Perwitz.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Newnansville Cemetery in Alachua with the Rev. Daniel Howard, officiating.
