Loria Ann Price Stokes

Loria Ann Price Stokes, age 50, passed at home in High Springs, Fla., on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. She is the daughter of Mary Price and the late Harvey Price, Sr. She was preceded in death by husband Earl Stokes.

Loria Ann was a member of High Springs Church of God by Faith. She is a 1981 graduate of Santa Fe High School, Alachua, Fla. She earned an Associate in Science in Phlebotomy and Bachelors and Masters degrees from Nova University. She worked as a social worker with several government agencies. Her last place of employment was with Partnership and Strong Families as a Family Care Counselor Supervisor.

Lorie Ann is survived by mother, Mary Price; sister, Gina Price-Gassett; brothers, Harvey Price Jr., Thaddeous Price and Gerald Price; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The viewing for Lorie Ann Stokes will be held on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 from 6-7 p.m. at A Jerome Brown Funeral Home, 1650 NW 1^st Ave., High Springs. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 18 at High Springs Church of God by Faith, 1605 NW 1^st Ave., High Springs), Elder James Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, High Springs.
