Janice Fountain Hernberger, 74, longtime Gainesville resident, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at her residence in Franklin, Tenn. She grew up in High Springs where she was a graduate of High Springs High School class of 1956 and was a member of First Baptist Church of High Springs. She retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She was office manager for North Florida Immediate Care Center for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, John F. and Vera Fountain and an older sister, Doyce Phillips.
Survivors include a son Robert (Robyn) Hernberger; Lillian Hernberger, Nashville, Tenn., one sister, Paggy Thevenet and brother-in-law Ted Thevenet, North Fort Myers, Fla.; two nephews, Robert Thevenet, Belmont, Calif. and John Thevenet, Milwaukee, Wis., and a great niece, Cadence Thevenet, Belmont, Calif.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014, in the High Springs Cemetery with Rev. Morris Beck and Rebecca Brown officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 6 – 7 p.m. at Evans-Carter Funeral Home High Springs, 386-454-2444. In Lieu of flowers please donate to Streetlight at Shands, P.O.
